3rd Beowulf Quote

This is a book that we are starting to read, so therefor I grabbed a quote to write on.

QUOTE: He has done his worst but the wound will end him. He is hasped and hooped and hirpling with pain, limping and looped in it. Like a man outlawed .for wickedness, he must await. the mighty judgement of God in majesty.(lines 974-78)

Translations in my own words: He has fought and killed to his best capabillity but his wound will kill him. He has been in pain for a long time. like an outcast. he must wait for the judgement of god.

"Like an outcast" needs to be attached either to the sentence before it (with a comma instead of a period) or to the sentence after it (with a capital on "like"). In Heaney's version, it goes with the last sentence; he waits God's judgment like an outcast. I wonder what that means, exactly?
